For a long time now, visitors to Ecclesall Woods have expressed their concerns about crossing Abbey Lane to get from one wood to the other. As a main arterial road the traffic speed combined with the lack of an official crossing point makes it difficult for children, the elderly and people with mobility issues to cross safely.
