Earlier today the Friends of Ecclesall Woods, working with the Woodland Discovery Centre craft team and the SWEEP team, harvested willow from the plantation next to Whirlow playing fields.
Some of the willow will be used to make a screen at the Woodland Discovery Centre and another portion will be used to create a willow dome at Graves Park. The remainder will provide the material for upcoming basket making courses.
