Woodland Inspired Workshops
Woodland-inspired makers, workshops and experiences.
Our programme brings together makers whose work is inspired by the woodland environment. This includes skilled woodworkers and craftspeople, as well as artists and wellbeing practitioners who work with natural materials and nature-based approaches. Their workshops and experiences are designed to help visitors connect with the woodland, learn through making, and develop a deeper relationship with place, creativity, and nature.
Craft Workshops
Skilled makers and craftspeople lead hands-on workshops using natural and woodland materials. From woodworking and willow weaving to coppicing, broom making, pyrography, rope work, soap making, and seasonal wreaths, each session is rooted in practical skills, creativity, and a deep connection to material and place.
Visitors are invited to explore new techniques, develop confidence through making, and spend time immersed in the woodland setting. Whatever your experience level, our workshops offer a welcoming space to learn, create, and connect through craft.
Wellness Workshops
Skilled practitioners lead gentle, nature-inspired wellbeing experiences shaped by the woodland environment. Sessions may include movement, mindfulness, and reflective practices that encourage slowing down, awareness, and connection with the natural world.
Visitors are invited to rest, restore, and reconnect—both with themselves and with the woodland around them. Open to all experience levels, these sessions offer a calm and supportive space to nurture wellbeing through time spent in nature.
Nestled in the woods
Scheduled with the seasons in mind and with locally sourced materials plentiful, courses take place at our beautifully crafted outdoor workshop area, in Hectors House and some may venture into the wider woods. And The Woodland Stop Cafe is just next door!
